The Human Element
I’m Ben.
I believe the best things happen when you strip away the camera gear noise and just focus on real human interaction. What you see here is exactly what you get - sharp, high-impact photography delivered with no fluff, no rigid staging, and absolutely no ego.
I set up Aperture Blundell right here under the shadow of the Humber Bridge because I want people to see photography the way that I do - a bloody brilliant way to capture the perfect moments. For me, the magic always happens in the proper conversations, the laughs, and getting a real vibe going before I ever press the shutter. That’s how you build real trust, and it’s exactly why I keep my approach straightforward.
Photography is a massive passion of mine, but it isn’t the only thing that keeps me on the go. My day job outside the camera is rooted in the heavy lifting - I’m the Chief Operating Officer for an engineering company. I spend my weeks dealing with operations, strategy, and problem-solving in a fast-paced industry.
Because of that, I don’t really look at photography like your typical creative. I look at it with an operational eye. I know how to manage a project, communicate clearly, and get top-quality results without messing about or wasting anyone's time.
Away from the day job and the camera, life is just a mix of the things that keep me grounded. Navigating the beautiful chaos of family life, keeping my brain active and hunting down a proper coffee.
You get someone who understands the business world from the top down, but delivers it with a straightforward, no-nonsense approach.
So, let’s skip the small talk, forget about the corporate ego, and create something brilliant. If you fancy a chat about a project, don't be shy.
